Function
The South African
Bodyguard Association’s function is to:
Represent the Industry as a controlling body,
Regulate its members by Licensing Registration.
Setting and maintain standards (to the advantage of the member and its
clientele they serve)
Associate all relevant parties with a common interest in the Industry
(International)
Have a database for relevant matters
Having statistics available
Supply information regarding training standards (SAQA requirements.
SASETA requirements, Latest Unit Standards etc)
Refer requests of clients in terms of placements/training to registered
corporate members and individual members on the SABA Network
Create special projects
Offer sponsorship to relevant matters
Create employment
Create skills development programmes
Be transparent in all aspects
Make Annual Financial Reports Public
Be objective/unbiased
All corporate members will automatically serve on a committee.
( Each company will appoint one person to represent their company on
the SABA committee as a member.
